Scheduling-text terms

CareCompanion is an invitation-only family pilot operated by Brandon Baney. These terms cover optional automated scheduling and reminder texts from (843) 285-6106 for a phone conversation with Clara, our AI companion.

Permission and cost

Only participating adults who agree to texts are enrolled. Consent is not a condition of purchase or participation. You can arrange a call with your family helper without using texts. CareCompanion does not charge the participant a separate SMS subscription fee for this pilot; message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan.

Messages and timing

Message frequency varies with your replies. The program can send a scheduling invitation, clarification questions, a proposed time, a confirmation, and one reminder approximately 15 minutes before your agreed call. Times are Eastern. An offered time is not booked until you confirm it.

You call Clara from your registered phone; this program does not place an automatic outbound call. Delivery and exact timing are not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a text does not arrive or your arrangement is unclear, contact your family helper.

Stop, change a time, or get help

Reply STOP or CANCEL to end program texts. You may receive one final opt-out confirmation. HELP provides assistance; you can also email theshiftreport@icloud.com. Reply RESCHEDULE to change a Clara arrangement or CANCEL CALL to cancel only the chat. These actions do not cancel or change appointments with your doctors.

After stopping, you may reply START to restore scheduling texts for an unused first-call arrangement. This does not automatically book a new time or provide an additional call after the first-call allowance has been used. Contact your helper if your phone number changes.

Not medical or emergency messaging

Scheduling texts do not provide diagnosis, treatment, monitoring or emergency response. Do not send medical details, passwords or urgent concerns. Call 911 for a possible emergency. Your medical records and consent to share them are separate from SMS permission.
